Today, we at Nourish Ingredients announced an $11M USD initial funding round co-led by Horizons Ventures and Main Sequence Ventures, two of the leading food-tech VC firms in the world. It’s a huge step toward the realisation of our biggest goal - to bring to the world tastier, more sustainable fats and oils that don’t necessitate the use of animal products. This sizable funding allows us to add more brilliant, world-class talent to our team, expand our product range, and bring our fats and oils to even more customers across the globe.

When my Co-founder, Ben Leita, and I first met at Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO, we bonded over a shared desire to harness the power of science and technology to make a positive impact on the world. And we know this is a big problem that we have set out to solve. As we see it, providing the world with alternative proteins that don’t deliver “alternative” consumer experiences is key to achieving widespread consumer adoption, especially with people who love the taste of meat and dairy.

We believe we are only in the infancy of how big the plant-based and alternative proteins market can really become. Nourish’s fats and oils will change the way the planet looks at this market by making their products taste just as good as the original, but better - and we couldn’t be more excited to be on the forefront of innovation in this category.
